I'm an American who came to Barcelona on Halloween 2010 after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with degrees in Dance and Psychology. During my 8 years here, I have never stopped touring in this city because there is so much to see and do! I am a super nerd for festivals and I'm always going out to enjoy the never-ending list of cultural events going on.
I was teaching English for about 5 years, but my true passion developed as I began helping to show visitors around the city. I am so passionate about the city and I want to help others who come here to see and experience all of the wonderful things that the city has to offer. I always consider that there is a kind of magic in the air, and I take it upon myself to make sure others can feel it before they leave.
I want to bridge the gap and help those who are visiting see what it is like to live on the inside. I remember what it was like arriving for the first time, and I have a good idea of what is unique and interesting to see. Traveling can be stressful, especially when it's a new culture and a different language, and there are a lot of things to navigate. I aim to ease the stress so that travelers can enjoy the vacation they've worked hard to have.
I love sharing stories with travelers and one of the best things is to discover the city through other people's eyes. During our time together I will share lots of stories and anecdotes about the local history and culture as well as the local life. Hopefully you will leave feeling like you have spent the day with a local friend. So without worrying about anything else, just follow me and I'll show you around.
Our three hours long walking tour with Kimberly in the gothic and romans area in the city center of Barcelona was very interesting! We have discovered a lot of interesting places, heared different stories about them from Kimberly and took a few great pictures there.
Kimberly is a super friendly and easy-going person. We also liked a lot that her English was absolutely easy to understand for not native English speakers, who we are. I am very glad that we had a tour with her, but a little bit upset that it was only in our fourth day in Barcelona and not at the first day, because she recommended us a few great spots to visit after the tour.
We recommend everyone who is visiting Barcelona and is looking for a local guide for some tour or adviser to choose Kimberly for this!
